3. COAMFTE-Accredited,
Part-Time Intensive Program
Intensive training for clinicians in the
theory and practice of family therapy, leads to state licensure
and AAMFT clinical membership application
- Accredited by the Commission on Accreditation
for Marriage and Family Therapy Education (COAMFTE) of the American
Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT)
- For a minimum of 12 months, two hours weekly
individual supervision for five, off-site client contact hours
and five, on-site client contact hours
- 250 hours minimum clinical work at the Training
Center's clinical sites
- Four courses plus self-study projects
- 20 weekly, eight-hour, day-time group (maximum
6 trainees) sessions in the first year
- Group sessions scheduled Monday (October
to April)
- One-way mirror individual and group supervision
- Role playing
- AAMFT-approved supervision
- Certificate of completion awarded
- Training in Philadelphia, central or southern
New Jersey

4. Extern Program
For beginning, intermediate or advanced
clinicians to improve skills in family therapy
- Two applied family therapy courses
- 20 weekly, eight-hour, day-time group (maximum
6 trainees) sessions in the first year
- Group sessions scheduled Mondays (October
to April)
- One-way mirror and group supervision
- Videotaped individual and group supervision
- Role playing
- AAMFT-approved supervision
- Certificate of completion awarded
- Training in Philadelphia

5. Clinical Supervision
Program
For practitioners needing individual and/or
group supervision of family and marital therapy (skills/state
licensure)
- Monthly, four-hour group sessions (maximum
6 trainees/group)
- Videotape or audiotape supervision, one-way
mirror case consultation and/or case discussion
- Individual or paired supervision may also
be arranged at trainees' convenience
- AAMFT-approved supervision
- Supervision by licensed psychologists and
AAMFT-Approved, LMFT Supervisors

6. Summer Practicum
For family-centered practitioners wanting
an intensive, three-week family therapy training experience
- Sessions June 9 to June 27, 2008
- One-way mirror individual and group supervision
- Videotaped individual and group supervision
- AAMFT-approved supervision
- Family therapy seminar
- Role playing
- Certificate upon successful completion
- Low-cost housing available

Mentoring: Fundamentals
To evolve a model of supervision or to
become an AAMFT-approved supervisor
- Course offered July 7-10, 2008
- Each course covers generic supervision issues,
literature review, case discussion and diverse theoretical models

- Low-cost housing available
- Eligibility determined by a phone interview
