Mandatory for Extern & Intensive Trainees, Area II Course
This 45-hour course focuses on the development of Ecosystemic Structural Family therapy in context and the application of this model to family assessment and treatment intervention across diverse clinical problems with sensitivity to issues of gender and cultural diversity. Emphasis is given to the special strengths and resources of the African-American family. Meets three days
in September, and monthly, October to December. $700.
Educational Objectives:
Describe the application of systemic, structural and developmental concepts in the assessment and treatment of clinical problems.
Generate assessment information and description of appropriate interventions within the model.
